The Adventure – Mt Rainier Photo Safari (August 2014)

What a joy to participate with THE ADVENTURE™ and create a Mount Rainier Photo Safari! As the host city of Landmark’s Team, Management, and Leadership Program we had nearly 900 team members join us from all over North America and we had ladies from Boston, Florida, Washington DC, San Diego, and Indiana along on this wonderful safari. Amazing!

The forecast was for thunder storms, and we got off to a late start … neither deterred us, nor impacted the magnificence of Mount Rainier’s beauty!! The photo conditions, well … those were WAAAAAAAAAAY less than ideal.  My Sony Alpha 380 got pushed to her limits and my post processing skills put to good use.  :o)

Here are the best images from the safari … they barely scratch the surface of what the eyes saw and go no where near the magic of the bonds we formed as we spent the day and sunset together in nature!!!

Love to Michele, Gloria, Lily, Sarah, Laura, and Mary … thank you for your lovely company and the honor of sharing the fabulous Pacific Northwest!!!

The kindest eyes that look on you,
Without a thought disloyal.”

said the butterfly.

freedom and a little flower.”

Aglow Within

Aglow Within

“At times our own light goes out
and is rekindled by a spark from another person.
Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude
of those who have lighted the flame within us.”
Albert Schweitzer

Late Bloom

Late Bloom

“A woman who could always love would never grow old; and the love of mother and wife would often give or preserve many charms if it were not too often combined with parental and conjugal anger. There remains in the face of women who are naturally serene and peaceful, and of those rendered so by religion, an after-spring, and later an after-summer, the reflex of their most beautiful bloom.”
Jean Paul Richter

So hard to believe this autumn bud was just captured a little over a month ago… it will always remind me of the transformative weekend in my hometown of Portland, OR, where I took another powerful step toward creating inner peace and being love.
