As part of my further exploration into photography, I accepted Jake Johnson‘s invitation to join his Google+ Assignment for Jake Community. He promised two assignments a month and a private space to develop… for a year! I had been considering doing the 52 Selfy Project as a method by which to share more about what it is to be just jenuine and this community was far superior … it would keep my camera focused on the world around me and give me a voice. My promise to myself is to share most, if not all, of my ‘assignments’ publicly.

Here was our first assignment…

Assignment for Jake :: Best Photo of 2013
They All Fall Down

Not sure it’s my ‘BEST’ … only the one I like best! Has to be because I am a softy for waterdrops and macro, thus why I curate Wet Wednesday.

Well, one truly Wet Wednesday here in Seattle I stepped out my front door, decided to walk-the-walk, not just talk-the-talk … and played in the summer showers.

When I first saw this capture in Lightroom I thought the focus was off because the water drop was blurry, then I began processing it and the drops on the leaf POPPED, from there the story developed … ‘they all fall down’ … I had literally caught the drop as it fell from the leaf. :o)
